Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis

In 1922, the Indianapolis Home Builders was formed. It is possible that this group is the oldest organized builder group in the United States. On February 22, 1940, the group drafted its first By-laws. The original charter from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) was issued to the Indianapolis Home Builders; this was later transferred to the Marion County Residential Builders Association in 1944.
